Board Gamers Anonymous

Feb 21, 2019

This week, we're revisiting a past topic through 2019 with the best female characterization in gaming. We're also excited to have launched our Patreon contests last week - congratulations to our first winner, Jon who took home Root, and this week's winner Jeremy.

For our question of the week, we asked the listeners "What's your favorite video game that feels and plays like a board game (not a board game app)?"

For our acquisition disorders, Anthony looked at Newdale, the new Oh My Goods universe game from Alexander Pfister coming out soon, and Chris looked at the Kickstarter campaign for Millennium Blades: Collusion from Level 99 Games.

At the table, the guys review Gugong and Scorpius Freighter, a pair of mid-weight games that are getting some buzz. Find out if they're worth tracking down.

Finally, in our feature, we look at six games that handle female representation and characterization well in gaming from the last 9 months.
